CLIMATE
The summer is hot and sticky, but the beer
is cold and spectacular fireworks can be
enjoyed from river banks and waterfronts.
The spring blossoms attract flower-viewing
parties, while the brilliant autumn colors
are enjoyed more privately. A seasonal front
stationed over the archipelago makes for
quite a lot of rain in June and July. A rough
guide to clothing requirements: light sweater
needed from late October or early November,
then a thick sweater for December through
February or March, then back to a light sweater
in April, and off with the sweater in May.
You'll need a coat when you're outside in
the winter months, although the temperature
seldom goes below freezing.

ACCESS
Getting from Narita to Tokyo
Browse around the travel counters in the
Arrivals lobby at the airport and look for
a mode of transport that suits your destination
and budget.
The options include a limousine-style bus,
JR train, Keisei Skyliner train, rent-a-car,
or even a taxi. It takes the trains about
an hour to reach central Tokyo. The buses
don't take much longer - when the roads are
empty.
